Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with our recent houseboat rental from Burnside Marina.  Your staff at Waterway Adventures and the staff at Burnside Marina were great.  Everyone we came in contact with at Burnside, the dock manager, the cashier in the store, the dock hands, water taxi driver and the guys on the maintenance boat were very friendly and accomodating.  The Star Gazer boat that we rented was very clean and in great shape when we arrived, better than any other rentals I have been on, and everything on board worked as it should.  The only snag we ran into all weekend was running out of propane on Saturday night, but when we saw the service boat in Harmon Creek on Sunday morning we flagged the guys down and told them, not knowing if they could help us out being 35 miles from the marina, but they promptly went to the next nearest marina and returned very shortly with a full tank.

Our family just experienced our first "houseboat vacation". My husband and I, along with six teenagers in tow, set off for an adventure on Kentucky Lake. I must say, I was a bit nervous about the close quarters and hearing the dreaded "I'm bored" comments from the teens. To our surprise, this was one of the most fun vacations we've had! We boated, tubed, jet skied, enjoyed the hot tub, played games, and truly enjoyed some quality family time. We did so without cell phones, video games, computers, and television. Chad and his staff at Green Turtle Bay were excellent. They were all very personable and professional.  We plan to go back next year and would recommend this type of vacation to any family wishing to slow down and enjoy each others company again. You won't be disappointed!

Jeff and Elaine,

I wanted to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude and appreciation for our accommodations on our trip to Dale Hollow last week. As I stated while we were there, we have been making our annual winter fishing trip to Dale Hollow Lake for 30 years and this was one our best experiences in those 30 years. From day one when I phoned Elaine inquiring about chalet availability until we departed at the end of our trip on Friday, we were treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism.  It is so refreshing to experience a staff that still believes in customer service.  Jeff not only handled our needs immediately, but he even stopped by the chalet to make sure everything was satisfactory.  When we decided to extend our stay for an extra day, Elaine and Jeff made the extra effort to ensure our extended stay would be possible. All too often, service providers only hear the negatives and complaints from their customers.  That is why I wanted to take a moment and offer our compliments to Jeff, Elaine, and the entire Holly Creek staff for the service that was extended to us.

We have already booked our dates for next year and I can say that based on our experience last week, we will be returning to Holly Creek for many years to come. I hope this letter gets forwarded to upper management so that they may recognize how vital an asset it is to employ such a customer oriented staff that is dedicated to total customer satisfaction.

Our first houseboat trip from Waterway Adventures at Beaver Creek Marina was the family’s best vacation ever.

No phones, no computers, no play stations, no video games.  Just lots of good, quality family time – something most of us just don’t get anymore.  Kids kept busy fishing, swimming in the 80 degree water, exploring, playing games, hot tubbing, rock hunting and more.  All of us on the boat played our own version of “Houseboat Survivor” one afternoon, Houseboat Olympics on another, and also had a fishing contests & other activities. The adults loved the relaxing pace watching the scenery go by from the upper deck. 

Terry and all the folks at Beaver Creek were awesome and went out of their way to be helpful.  There are very few businesses today who go above and beyond for customer service. These guys far exceeded our expectations from the dock attendants topping off our water tanks when we stopped for fuel to helping us with our luggage to sending a boat out in the dark one night to replenish an empty propane tank.  I have been to many marinas and these guys are an example of how to do things right.  Since our stay, we check the Beaver Creek webcam about every day, to see who’s going houseboating today!

So, if you’ve never taken a houseboating trip, book one asap.  The lake is beautiful and warm, the summers are long and there’s something for everyone of any age.  You too, will have your best vacation ever!

I just want everyone to know we recently booked a trip there for the first time and Debbie Marsteller was the person to arrange our stay through WaterWay Adventures, and from the very 1st phone call w/ her, I was totally impressed.  She could not have been any more helpful, more expedient, nor more pleasant. She helped me find exactly what I wanted in a short time, and for exactly what my budget would allow. Once arriving at the marina, we were guided to B.J., a younger college student who was just as friendly, polite and abundantly eager to help and went above what would be expected of him {especially in the heat we had}...His boss Dick came into the picture as the tutorial was starting on the boat, and even though this was B.J.'s first attempt at this position, he again handled this quite well. As this part of the trip progressed, and upon returning to the marina...the rest of our trip involved Dick.  HE WAS EVERYWHERE doing everything...Checking in and checking out was equally painless w/ all the ladies inside so KUDOS to everyone involved....loved it loved it loved it! We will tell everyone we know and can't wait to return

Hello Debbie,

We are all looking forward to our family reunion. I would like to thank you for all your support and assistance over the past months. Your company as been FABULOUS to deal with and I would proudly serve as a testimonial for you.

Finally, please thank the dock manager (Terry Bell) again for his support of our family outing. He has been GREAT to deal with. You truly have a great team. State Dock doesn't have a chance.
