Overnight Sail
This 24 to 36 hour sailing experience offers a choice of stops along Tampa Bay’s
borders. There are three cities, a river diversion and island anchorage making
this a great trip for that romantic getaway or just a day of fun and adventure.
Weekend Sail
Friday to Sunday sailing adventure takes in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Experience Tampa Bay and choose your destination.
• Weekend North Sail – This excursion will take you along the Florida Coast to
Treasure Island.
• Weekend South Sail – This excursion will take you out along Florida’s southern
coast to Longboat Key.
Short Week Sail:
The Short Week Sail is a 3 to 4 day sail from Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
• Northern Excursion – Sail north to Clearwater Beach. Pristine white sandy
beaches and crystal blue water are among the highlights of this sail trip.
• Southern Excursion – Sail the southern shore of Florida to Sarasota’s
beautiful Venice Beach. If you are a SCUBA diver, a reef containing fossilized
material is located a quarter of a mile offshore.
Full Week Sail:
A full 7 days of adventure makes this our most popular sailing vacation. Choose
from one of our pre-planned sailing charter destinations or customize your trip
with Captain Z.
• North Sail – Depart Tampa Bay to Tarpon Springs and visit the world famous
Sponge Docks. There are plenty of sites to see along the way.
• South Sail – From Tampa Bay you will sail south to Gasparilla Island or
Captiva Island. Gasparilla Island is part of a chain of Gulf Coast barrier
islands and the site of the Boca Grande Lighthouse built in 1890. Captiva Island
is in the heart of Southwest Florida and has over 15 miles of shelling beaches.
Two Week Sail:
Just imagine the experience that awaits you when you board “In Our Dreams” for
two full weeks. This is our premier sailing vacation.
Twelve to fourteen days of glorious sailing includes Gasparilla Island, Captiva
Island. Fort Myers, Naples, Marco Island, the Florida Keys and Key West.
Beautiful beaches, lush tropical islands and clear ocean waters will embrace you
and leave you mesmerized. Awake to spectacular sunrises and relax on the deck
and feel the morning breeze. You won’t want to miss the Sunset Celebration at
Mallory Square in Key West.

Bio: Captain Michael A. Zornes comes to WaterWay Adventures with over fifteen
years of sailing experience. Over this period he has earned his Master License
and is a Certified Sailing Instructor.
As a veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Captain Zornes went on to become a
freelance charter captain working with clients throughout Florida. His
experience includes the responsibilities of Lead Captain and Operations
Technician for several large fleets. As a sailing instructor he has taught
individuals and groups including corporate team building. He has worked with
sailing programs for the handicapped, elderly and youth.
Captain Zornes has sailed throughout the British Virgin Islands, Abacos, Bahamas
and surrounding islands, Mexico, Cuba and the East and West Coasts of Florida.
As the Captain for Waterway Adventures Sail Charter, "In Our Dreams", he
provides complete personal attention to every aspect of every trip. Whether you
are going out for a few hours or a full week Captain Zornes believes that every
